Entry # 14
This week we have been reading the Novel 1984. On thursday we created a flyer about any slogan and we had to use one of the Propaganda Techniques, so we used Repetition and Emotional words because its somethig we just happened to use. This week we also had a sarcratic seminar but I happened to not be here for some reason so now i have to do other work to make up the sacratic seminar. When I was working on the flye I enjoyed working with the Microsoft Publisher 2007 because I liked playing with the different colors and fonts and also with different backgrounds. Well this weekend is prom I’m kind of excited because I love dressing up for special occasions and I also wonder how the other people from school will end up looking for prom. I used this kind of techniques for the flyer because it was the easiest to do and it had emotional words to it also, it looked realy nice when i put the flyer altogether. well this weekend will be very fun and exciting and I will be looking forward to it also. I dont know what else to say about this week because i haven’t really been here that much.

Entry# 13
This week was kind of crazy because I only saw Ms.Traverso like two days so we really didn’t do anything because on tuesday we watched a movie and on monday we only read the noval 1984 because no one in the class had done it for homework. So this week we had a wired schedule because so the lower class kids having testing and seniors didn’t have to do it. This week for art i had to do a google map and it was the first time i did this project it had to do with our past future and presents. I had to pick picture from our past like for example, my past schools,activites and things in my life. Future were i will be going,what i will become, where i will be attending schools. presents what I’m doing as of now the activities I’m in and etc…. I was kind of lots when doing this project because i wasn’t in class for half of the time we had to work in it in class. next week I have the feeling that it will be kind of crazy because of prom and everyone will be excited for the weekend to come.

Entry #12
This week we did alot of activities that helped us understand even more the novel 1984. we also keep doing worksheets that help us, we also have group discussion and sarcratic seminars and soon we will be having another sarcratic seminar because of finals and also were going to have to do an essay but a in class eassay about the book 1984. so this week has been kinda crazy because it was slient day and it was kind of funny that the teachers wouldn’t even talk because of it so it kind of made it hard to get the lesson plan for the day because i wasn’t able to really understand some of the math promblems and in Ms.Traverso class it was kind of ok to get the lesson plan because we really didnt do anything on friday but read alot and also do an activity with the characters of the novel 1984. silent day was really cool because the school never seemed so quiet in my life or at least the four years that i’ve been there. also it was so amazing how many people support the silent day. this week i hope everything goes smooth because prom is also coming up and people ar like crazy and excited for prom.

This week we been doing alot of analysing the book 1984. We also had a sarcratic seminar and the goal was to do good so we wouldn’t have to do an essay and of corse everyone in the class tried doinf good or even tried to talk at least once so that it can make a difference and it actually worked because we didn’t have to do an essay and we also did very good on the sarcratic seminar , all of us partcipated and had very good questions and topics to talk about. also during that week we stared to read the second part of the book. So far I understand that Winston is staring to fall for Julia and I understand that in the book 1984 its impossible for that to happen because Winston is still married and she was too, also its not right for them to talk in public in the book. So julia and winston decided to try to meet up in a room were there isn’t a telescreen and so I predict that they will have an affair and have sex while they know they are going to brake a whole lot of rules but they are willing to do that because they are tired of the life they are living they want to be able to have sex for plesure not because they have an obligations just to make kids.
